Besides enjoying a delicious turkey dinner with friends and family, catching up on football, and thinking about all those fun holiday shopping days coming up, there are other things to do in Denver on Thanksgiving Day that you may want to get up off the couch and participate in. Check out these great Thanksgiving events in Denver: Run Your Yams Off at the 43rd Annual Mile High United Way Turkey Trot This annual event is one of Denver’s favorite Thanksgiving traditions. Approximately 20,000 people come out to Washington Park for the four-mile run or walk. Thanksgiving Events in Denver

Thanksgiving is about a great meal with family and even friends. There’s also parades and football not to mention the start of the holiday shopping season. Beyond all those fun things, there are also some great activities here in Denver that are for a great cause and can involve the entire family. One Thanksgiving event we would like to highlight this year is the Run Your Yams Off at the 41st Annual Mile High United Way Turkey Trot. The event is scheduled for Thanksgiving Day, which is Thursday, November 27th. It will be held in Washington Park. Participants are welcome to run or walk the four-mile event. There is also a separate fun run that you can do with the kids that is only one-quarter mile long.
