Show your support for our Denver veterans by joining in any and all of the local festivities this November 11th and the accompanying weekend.
We are excited to see so many great events in Denver for Veteran’s Day:
Saturday, November 12th is the Veteran’s Day Parade, which starts at 10:00am at 14th Street and W. Colfax Avenue. The parade includes many local Veteran’s organizations and supporters. This year’s parade has different aspects related to military history, including the Revolutionary War, Civil War, WW1, WW2, and many others, including featured memorabilia like uniforms, weapons, and vehicles from each conflict.
Saturday, November 12th is also the Denver Veteran’s Day Festival from 12:00pm to 3:00pm, which is sponsored by U.S. Bank and hosted by the Colorado Veteran’s Project. The festival takes place in Civic Center Park and features music, food trucks, vendors, games and family activities, and vintage military vehicles. This is a free event that encourages the local community to come together and celebrate our veterans.
On Sunday, November 13th at 8:00am, Toyota presents the Denver Veteran’s Day 5K and 10K runs. Hosted by the Colorado Veteran’s Project, this Veteran’s Day event is open to runners, joggers, and walkers. Every age is welcome, and even dogs can join in the fun.
Besides participating in these events, you can also serve as a volunteer at any and all of the events. Donations are also accepted to help the Veteran’s organizations in Denver to help our local veterans with housing and other needs.
Don’t forget that we also have an array of patriotic flowers that you can purchase to send to veterans or to use for any local Denver Veteran’s Day celebrations. Just call us, visit our Denver flower shop or go online to order through our website.
We want to thank all of our veterans in Denver and throughout the country for their service and courage, helping to ensure our freedoms.
