Summer has been here for a few weeks and we are trying to get as much sunshine as possible, but sometimes Mother Nature has her own ideas here in Denver.
However, in our Denver flower shop and garden center, things are looking bright as we are happy to have a bustling shop filled with customers and the ability to serve more customers with wedding flowers, event flowers, and floral gifts.
Our summer flower collection has been here for many weeks now, but we would like to share some of the current summer flower trends we’ve been seeing as we follow the latest floral designs and styles to appear each season.
Peonies are a Favorite
As a summer favorite, peonies are here but only for a limited time. These stunning large flowers create some of the largest blooms and come in such gorgeous colors, including bright and pastel hues. Hurry and get yours while supplies last!
Yellow is a Big Summer Color
We’ve had a lot of request for bold bouquets in many shades of yellow. This includes lilies, sunflowers, roses, and more in monochromatic designs or mixed with white and green flowers and accents.
Tropical and Botanical Flair Dominate Design
In Denver, we see a lot of requests for tropical and botanical floral designs, which use a focus on color mixed with a significant amount of greenery and natural accents. These floral designs tend to be very ordered and somewhat minimalist compared to a garden style design, for example.
Unique Containers Add Interest
A popular trend that continues among our customers is the demand for unique containers, most of which can be keepsakes to display on their own, be used for something else, or hold more flowers. This includes our art glass vases, bubble glass bowls, and ceramic keepsake containers made to look like vintage cars, trucks, and RVs.
Whimsical
Now that it seems like much of the stress and seriousness has passed, maybe we can get back to some light-hearted looks like a whimsical dog made of carnations whose got his shades on and he is ready to soak up the sun.
