International Nurse’s Day and Week

Monday is International Nurse’s Day, which is the end of Nurse’s Week, running from May 6th to May 12th. This is a way to celebrate and recognize what nurses do all over the world to offer care and concern as well as expertise, skill, and knowledge of medicine and health care. The day was created by by the International Council of Nurses in recognition of Florence Nightingale’s birthday and became an official holiday in 1974.  This year’s theme for 2014 International Nurse’s Day is “Nurses: A Force for Change. If you know a nurse who is a friend, family member, colleague, or someone who treated you, then now is the time to send them a gift that says “thank you” and “I appreciate what you do.” To help you find the perfect gift, we offer a wide range of flower arrangements, floral gifts, plants, blooming plants, gift baskets and special gifts as well as greeting cards
